Timeline: summer vacation. One afternoon, I was just sitting at the edge of the yoga sundeck situated over the sea. Quiet and serene … staring and enjoying the turquoise waters of the Indian Ocean. I felt the breeze touching my cheeks – amazing! The water is just crystal clear – fishes and beautiful corals of different colors blending each other. I just loved it and started to reminisce my childhood days … life then was just simple, basic and so much fun. I was daydreaming until I felt the cold wind gushing unto my face … from afar I saw this dark clouds formed and started to drizzle. It slowly came to my direction, instead of seeking shelter; I stayed until I was totally drenched from the rain. It was just beautiful! There are moments in our lives that we sometimes neglect the very core of our existence. Anyway, I enjoyed the experience …
After reconnecting myself with nature, I was inspired to create my "Silhouettes of Dawn" and because it's airbrushing time. So let's airbrush that colors … W … oppps! Wait wait … learning the fundamentals , or basics, whatever you may call it, is important. Gotcha! Basic on Copic markers – CHECK! Next … just practice, practice and more practice – CHECK! Then explore the next FUN level on Copic … oh yes, airbrushing and can be so addictive. Not everyone is a fan of "theories" or "lectures" but I love learning the basics because I know I will have a good foundation in the end. I can close my eyes and create something without any hesitations … then I can have the Mix & Match galore - do a little bit of blending, airbrushing and using other mediums. And that is fun! Now, let's airbrush that colors …
Note from Jing's messy desk: I used the Perfect Coloring Paper to stamp my image. I tested first my ever loyal Air Compressor to check on the pressure then started airbrushing. I used a mask to create the "sun"… I love the Opaque white for a dramatic effect. Then just airbrush … airbrush … airbrush. (Original cards are embellished and scored)
