I always have a small token for my dinner guests. Dinners during December are something special … I always prepare ahead few samples for my table setup and tokens. First, let's have the Menu Card … and I will be using the image Jane Skating. The front will serve as the card and name card, then at the back will be the Menu. Actually, Jane skates together with Sam – just perfect! So for my female guests, I will use gorgeous Jane and handsome Sam for my male guests. In this post, I only was able to make a Menu Card with Jane.

 

As for my special token, I made a Sleigh box filled with Ginger bread.

 

I also used one of the Christmas sentiments from Tina Wenke's Collection Peace On Earth.  Then I attached the names of my guests … the name card.  

 I deliciously colored Jane with Copic markers and colored pencils, sprinkled few sparkles and glitters.  So now, I need to make my Sam menu card ... they are just perfect together.

 

Note from Jing's messy desk:  As for my background with Jane skating, I did Undercoloring Technique which is done mostly in airbrushing.  I used the gradation background effect of layered colors - B32, B34, B37, B39, FB2.  Then I spritz it with Glimmer Mist ... let it dry ... emboss a starry sky ... stamp the image and apply colored Jane Skating over the stamped - make sure to make it a little bit of 3D ... then attach all the other elements for the Menu Card.   Join us at the Stampavie blog for Holiday inspirations.

wHaT’s uP, gIrL?

Hi Jing, what's up? … think … think … think – it is already March and today is 1^st of March. Unbelievable! Time flies so fast … oh no stop thinking about it.  Anyway, I saw my "What's Up" card and I thought of sharing it … my thoughts (smile!). I have made this sample card for my Copic Class … to use as display. The stamp inspired me – I love to sit in the grass and just watch my surroundings … flowers, beautiful butterflies, tweeting birds, the smell of the grass and daydream (my favorite pastime). Uhmm, I just thought this was me during my teen years.

 

I used Copic Sketch E00 , YG03 to airbrush my background mountain. I have masked the stamped image while applying the airbrush technique. When I removed the mask, I realized that I did not cut the image up to the edge … and I noticed the extra white. So I used my Aquarelle Faber-Castell #104 to cover the "white" area – just loving my Faber-Castell.  So, girl …
