Blog: More on ... Scrapbooking with Ease

This is one of my favorite layouts for the class … there were so many elements that need to be prepared then put them all together later.

I will walk you through few of the details ...

I applied Gesso on the Wooden Frame and the Hanging Sign+Post then the acrylic paint … let it dry and once both are ready, I applied the Distress crackle paint then dry again. I spritz this and that until I got the look I want for the frame then decorated it. I added flowers, gems and a bird to add accent to the frame and sign post.

I covered the 12x12 main patterned paper with Gesso, placed the screen then sprtiz Glimmer Mist. I also dabbed a little of the Glimmer Paint.

I traced and cut the upper body of body form – I want to create a 3D effect, embossed it and spritz with antique solution. Then I put all together the trimmings for the skirt … this was fun and lots of trial and error until I added the paper skirt on it.

I finished it up with a single photo and few sentiments inside the frame …

So let's try few layouts either the Clean and Simple layout to a more a intricate project ... and throw in few techniques ... will surely end up with an elegant piece of work. What d'ya think?
