Today, I am inspired to do something different. So I have prepared my card-sized cardstock and the Sarah Kay's Lucy and Kitty stamp. Ready to work ... But then I saw the canvas (uhmmm has been there in the corner for ages) and petite papers from Webster's Pages ... gotcha! now change direction. I will create my card in a canvas and place it in a frame.
So here we go with all the work and getting my hands dirty and of course, my work station ...
I applied Gesso into the canvas ... let it dry ... then brush a decoupage finish antique coat at the back of the Petite paper and adhere it to the canvas. Once it is smooth in place, brush the entire surface with Decoupage finish, when dry and clear, repeat the process until you got the color you want. Apply the crackle paint ... let it dry and crack ... then distress the edges. Now the canvas card is ready for embellishments ...
I made the black frame and accented it with leaves, lotus blooms, a bird ... then I used Copic markers to color Lucy and Kitty ... cut the image, made it into a 3D with Faber-Castell tack-it then attached it to the frame. I added the fabric tickets as sentiments ... then tangled it with a button, sparkler and colorful net - et voila!
I had fun doing the project ... so, grab your canvas, paints, markers and of course, the super delicious stamp from Sarah Kay - Lucy and Kitty or any of the Stampavie's amazing stamp collections. Have fun!
