spring was just perfect -

wonderful colours were blooming …

then summer is here …

so it is time to flaunt inspiring summer projects … get creative!

let's get startin' …

any friends coming over for a fashionable dinner?

well, a colourful menu card … to add to a wonder table setting –

perfect for an amazing get together …

What's inside? Get Creative … it can be the menu and the invitation details

(as keepsake, just add a photo)

anything ~ anything ~ anything …

 

the HOW:

stamped the image and embossed it with American Crafts Zing Embossing powder (Butter Opaque Finish)

created 3D effect … stamped several images, coloured, and patiently cut each parts then assembled

used Copic markers, coloured pencil and airbrush

VOILA!

I just love summer colours ... spring too ... 

isn't it nice to get inspired from colours to create something unique and fun?

La Belle ... Suzi Blu … et moi

 

Last week … my creative inspiration was –

Follow Your Dreams

and yes … I did ~

[well, one of my dreams…]

I finally made it [it is about time - it was all in my craft table in "cue"] … just the prototype and I enjoyed it …

[good news, I will have to make only for 8 persons]

 

... and that is truly a work in progress - I mean, my Tuesday creative inspiration is kinda different.

... so here's another project for another artsy dinner next weekend to celebrate Mother's Day.

and this is still work in progress ...

the how: canvas

painted the canvas with Serviette varnish and glue

place the desired serviette then apply another layer of varnish and glue

[serviette has 3 layers…I peeled the white layer and placed it unto the canvas…while still wet, I peeled the top designed layer…it created the silhouette of the top layer]

DRY DRY DRY

stamped the Fall In Love sentiment from Suzi Blu - not necessarily be perfectly stamped

added a contrast colour of acrylic paint - turquoise

 

the how: La Belle from Suzi Blu

coloured La Belle with Faber-Castell Coloured Pencils, chalk and Atyou Spica

created a 3D in a heavy paper ... mix 3D powder and gesso or white acrylic

apply the mixture to desired stencil

DRY DRY DRY

applied antique paste, metal flakes, 2 tone pearl effect paint and a dash of Diamond stickles

then attach all the embellishments

I will have a shabby chic  board and just attach the canvas

the back will be the  menu

[well, I hope I will be able to finish it up otherwise I just have the canvas and attach the menu at the back.]

I truly had fun letting my fingers a bit dirtier this time ... paints, glue, varnish etc.

Just perfect for my quiet Sunday morning … having a cup of coffee and unloading

all my thoughts … and oh my gosh, I just need to write them all down,

otherwise I will get lost in my own maze.

Something simple and easy for today …

I made a card using the image Little Tobi with Pinwheel …

Coloured with markers and coloured pencils … detailed background using the Cheerylynn diecut

and Sizzix embossing plate

stamped another image and coloured –

 (1)Dress then cut and attached to the original image (2)Hair then cut and added some blings

stamped and embossed the pinwheels then cut … stamped another pinwheel and coloured on the center with markers then cut and attach to the embossed pinwheels … added Swarovski blings

for the table settings.

 

I used Tina Wenke's A Baby Fairy stamp image together with a vibrant color

of patterned paper from Bo Bunny … just perfect!

I created a 3D dimension on the stamped image.

 

 

~ FRONT ~

I placed the Name Card (bookmark style) inside the birdcage.

The back portion can be used as the Menu … Optional.

 

~ BACK ~ 

I stamped the sentiments using the Tina Wenke Birthday Collection.

It can also be personalized by writing your own personal message.

but this Apron project using the Sweet Romance by Sarah Kay ...

the mood was a bit different ...

while I was colouring the image last month …

and now … writing this post at the same time tapping my feet on the floor ... still singing to the tune ...

* I used the Clairefontaine Transfer Paper for Light Fabrics

* I stamped the image using the StaZon Jet Black ink

* I added blings, sentiments and Rubons

 

* I coloured the images with Lefranc & Bourgeois Fabric Paints,

spritzed one apron with Tattered Angel Glimmer Mist Irisdescent Gold

The month of December is just amazing … totally super busy bee … continuously buzzing

… bzzzzzzzzzzzzzz …

I made the Christmas Gingerbread cookies and the sleigh box for my dinner at home …

something for our friends to bring home and enjoy it.

It was fun doing the process … I used the frosting sheet then attached it to the gingerbread –

.yUmmy & Wow.

 

I was totally overwhelmed when I was done in making the gingerbread … but fun and interesting ...

I coloured it with ProMarkers …

Put few trimmings on the background …

 .Done.
